Trip to Peru

I am looking forward to my trip with great anticipation. I certainly hope I can withstand the vigorous schedule. I have been riding my bike five days a week since before New Year's. It will be a great experience since I have always wanted to go on some kind of Humanitarian trip. What a wonderful opportunity! I am going to maintain a journal to document my experiences. I also have a 2 gig memory card for the camera and hope to take many pictures. Nicole, my Processing Assistant has offered to help me create a disc for my pictures. She is an excellent photographer and has some really great software.

I have had no side effects from the Yellow Fever shot I received about three weeks ago. They said it would hit me about now with flu like symptoms. I only experienced some real tiredness about two days ago, but nothing since.

I love you all and hope this starts us off on some great family blogging.

A new opportunity

Here we go with a new high tech adventure. I'm not so good at this, but hopefully an old dog can still learn new tricks. Your mother and I want to get this blog started so that we can share family experiences, photographs and information about what is going on in our lives. We hope you all enjoy and participate so that we can have a great family experience.

Personally, I want to be able to share some of the wonderful experiences I have had in my life. Lately, I have been loading pictures, both old and new, into the computer. Many of them tell a story and perhaps the sharing of the stories can help each of you appreciate your ancestors. Since none of you ever met your Grandfather Caudell, I hope to share some insight into his life as well.

Jim Davis and his family set up a blog for their family. Jim said it is one of the most wonderful ways they have found to keep in touch with everyone in the family. I hope we can do the same.

I don't know how soon all of you will read this, but hopefully we will all make a contribution soon.

All my love,

Dad
